ARKRAY is Entering the Veterinary Medicine Business in Malaysia

- The 4th sales office in Southeast Asia is established to launch sales activities from this April -

ARKRAY, Inc. (hereafter, 'ARKRAY') has established ARKRAY Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia as its 4th sales office in Southeast Asia, and is going to launch sales activities in April 2017. We have been selling our medical devices and reagents in the human clinical testing field via local distributors in Malaysia, and from now onward we shall develop the veterinary medicine field with our own resources.

In Malaysia, the population of pet owners is increasing in line with economic growth and, in a similar fashion to Japan, these pets such as dogs and cats are kept at home, called companion animals and treated like family members. Due to this, the prolongation of pets' lives and the provision of advanced medical treatments are increasingly required in the medical front.

Employing our own technologies fostered through the development of human medical devices and reagents, ARKRAY launched a dedicated brand of veterinary medical devices and reagents named 'thinka' in 2014, and has been promoting it. Through ARKRAY Sdn. Bhd. we will provide Malaysian veterinary hospitals with 'thinka' brand products, aiming at supporting the local veterinary medicine field as well as enhancing the penetration of our own brand.

ARKRAY Sdn. Bhd. intends not only to enter the veterinary medical field but also to sell oral care products in the human dental care field, which demonstrates a substantial potential for future growth. Through this we shall focus on the acquisition of market share and creation of new markets.

ARKRAY currently has overseas sites deployed in 12 countries and sells products in more than 80 countries worldwide. We will promote further expansion of overseas sites and enhancement of sales capabilities.
